Action plan

Course progress

Before teaching one of your shared reading lessons, consider the way you will:

  1. introduce your lesson
  2. sequence logically through the body of the lesson and
  3. conclude your lesson, prompting for reflection after reading. After teaching the lesson, reflect about the before, during and after reading components of your lesson.
  • What were the strengths of your lesson?
  • What could you do differently to improve each section of the lesson?

That’s all for Part 4!

You’re at the half way mark. Well done! Get a good sense of what you know and what you may need to review by doing the learning reflections at the end of parts 3 and 4. Then take a two-day break. Implement what you’ve learned in your classroom and re-visit any lessons that you may have had problems with before moving on.
