Before teaching one of your shared reading lessons, consider the way you will:
- introduce your lesson
- sequence logically through the body of the lesson and
- conclude your lesson, prompting for reflection after reading. After teaching the lesson, reflect about the before, during and after reading components of your lesson.
- What were the strengths of your lesson?
- What could you do differently to improve each section of the lesson?
That’s all for Part 4!
You’re at the half way mark. Well done! Get a good sense of what you know and what you may need to review by doing the learning reflections at the end of parts 3 and 4. Then take a two-day break. Implement what you’ve learned in your classroom and re-visit any lessons that you may have had problems with before moving on.
