Review the texts you plan to use across the curriculum over the week. For each text, identify suitable strategic points within the text which enable you to highlight your teaching goal/s. As you move through each text, consider how you can build, refine and extend reader knowledge of the learning goal.
After each lesson, review your text. Which texts provided you with the greatest scope for focused teaching? How high were student participation levels as you moved through the lesson? If student participation was low, how will you increase it on future lessons to ensure more active involvement?
