Action Plan

Course progress
  1. Review the texts you will use for guided reading.
  2. Browse the text or section/s of text you intend to use.
  3. Consider the conversation needed to consolidate and deepen students’ understandings of the text. Jot down some conversation starters and prompts that you could use.
  4. Action your ideas during guided reading lessons.
  5. Reflect afterwards: What worked? Why? What didn’t work? Why? Were all students actively engaged in the discussion? What else could I have done or said?
